Short version: Slow delivery, gets orders wrong, bland/mediocre food, responds to wrong order containing pork, which they are informed customer is allergic to, by delivering that customer a ham sandwich. Long version: I will never eat at another Sarpino's again. Before you dismiss my review as grizzled and exaggerated, please let me explain where I'm coming from. I've eaten at Sarpinos maybe 10 or so times simply because my roommate and I don't have vehicles and this is one of the few delivery joints in our area that is open late. I've never once found their food anything more than mediocre, but when it's late and you're hungry mediocre will do. That said, with that as a starting point for how I feel about this company, one huge blundering experience with them is enough to say "never again". My roommate and I placed an online order for sandwiches. The website is very simple to follow and lets you check-mark items you want on there and specify what things you don't. It lets you review this before placing your order. I don't know if it then shows up as abstract magic-eye fractal pictures that the employees than have to interpret, but if you told me that's how it worked, I'd believe you. Our sandwiches were delivered about an hour after ordering (we live two blocks from the restaurant) and everything was wrong. One sandwich had specified no bacon because my roommate has a pork allergy. It had bacon. The sandwich I ordered specified to substitute the chicken for beef with no lettuce. Instead it came with NO meat, and had lettuce. It had vegetable items on it I hadn't even ordered that weren't a part of the menu description for that item, and it was lacking still the vegetables I had requested be put on it. The sandwiches are supposed to come with chips and neither sandwich had chips included. We called back to let them know they'd messed up and they said they'd put in a rush order to get the right food out. This conversation involved going over the order itemized with them so that they knew exactly what to make and explaining the pork allergy situation. Our "rush order" arrived another hour later with a dazed and frustrated looking delivery guy who seemed stressed that he was wasting his time re-delivering an order and missing out on tips he'd be getting if he was delivering other orders, despite we had tipped him generously the first time due to snowy weather. The sandwich for my pork allergic roommate was supposed to be a chicken club with no bacon. This time they sent him a HAM sandwich. I can't fathom that this was unintentional. How could it be after all that? Furthermore my sandwich was closer this time to what i'd ordered but still had the wrong vegetable items on it. We called again and were issued a refund for the order. They said they'd credit it to the online account because we didn't want the delivery guy to have to bring the cash payment back and make a third trip in the snow. Another half-hour later we get an unexpected knock on the door (almost 2AM now) and it's the delivery guy with the cash. My roommate was left with nothing safe for him to eat and I was so put off by the frustration, the items I didn't order that I was having to pick off my second sandwich, and the two hour wait, that I lost my appetite and couldn't even eat it. This is not the first time we've had items included on a sandwich or pizza that were never listed on the order. They have a habit of piling onions on even when we don't order them and they aren't even an ingredient listed on the base item we ordered. The strawberry dessert pizza tastes like a pre-wrapped gas-station pastry, all corn syrup and NO fruit. We've had pizza deliveries arrive cold before. Unless you enjoy bland sauces, mediocre food, and total ignorance of your well-being, just save yourself the trouble and eat somewhere else. My advice for Sarpino's in Westport: Everyone at this location needs to have a performance evaluation and some serious attention from regional management. No manager should let a corrected order go out without double checking it when an associate makes a mistake, and if you make an offer to a customer, you'd better honor it. Don't send someone to their house at almost 2AM when you said you wouldn't.

The best calzone I've had in a long time. Granted it was midnight. Granted I'd had a few beers, granted it took 50 minutes on a Wednesday but it was money! I only wish it had been bigger!

Ordered my food and asked for a Pepsi. I was at work so I couldn't leave to get it myself. Driver showed up with diet coke (which i don't know how this is possible since they have Pepsi products) I informed driver I didn't order diet coke. I am only 150lbs at 6'2 and the word "diet" would never come out of my mouth. Driver said he would be right back with the correct soda. He is just 4 blocks away. So I waited to eat until he returned. 8mins later he calls me while making another delivery not returning with the Pepsi I paid for. Why would he even call to tell me he is not keeping to his word? Then it took 2 calls with the woman on the phone to get the problem solved. Meanwhile good getting cold. She informed me the driver called me from the store... So why didn't he bring me my drink??? This also means they knew the problem. She was very rude and had a negative tone. I have worked food service 9 years so I full well understand the headaches that come with the job. However you should ALWAYS CHECK FOR ORDER ACCURACY and KEEP TO YOUR WORD.

I really like the convenience of Sarpino's pizza. They deliver late and on holidays, and the food is pretty decent (I'd pick them over pizza hut any day). Also really happy about that fact that there's no minimum order. I've had some issues with their online ordering system, but over all, I've had mostly positive experiences with Sarpino's.

Good luck getting your order right. But if you do, know it'll be some of the best pizza in Westport. Always convenient that they deliver til 4am!!

Well the food is good, good variety. However the staff seems to be high enough to forget to bring the right sauce 3 times.

As an ingredient the smoked oysters are intriguing me to no end. I just have to figure out what I want to put them on. hhmmmmm. Tonight we dined on calzones. Sarpino's has a fairly large menu including salad, sandwiches, calzones and of course pizzas. We all tried different flavors, the Pepperoni, The Sausage and the Buffalo Chicken. Only one person was able to finish theirs, these are huge! The Buffalo Chicken was really good. The crust was chewy (in a good way) and crispy on the outside, BUT what I loved was the garlic flavor in the dough and it didn't give you that greasy pizza baby feeling in the end. Everyone reported they enjoyed their food. It is expensive but there is free delivery and you are paying for some quality ingredients. The gourmet pizzas and the sandwiches have got to be tried next!

I've tried the pizza here several times now & have been highly pleased each time. We've ordered in the pizzeria & waited and have called for delivery. The pizza is fantastic & they have several options for different toppings. Their "gourmet" pizzas are great with plenty of options to suit your taste. Pizza might take longer than say the quick ovens that the big chains have, but the result is great.

I ordered on the website which I was impressed with. But could not figure out how to add the coupons that are featured in the mailer. Order came 30 minutes later cold. The meatballs we ordered were just tossed in a box with no sauce. There were only 3 small meatballs for $6! We will stick to Minsky's.

First things first I love Sarpino's late night delivery. That said every time I order pizza, breadsticks, calzones I always order an extra marinara sauce. Which is $.59. I also usually order a caesar salad once again with extra caesar dressing. Which once again is $.59. So as I pay in full online plus tip the driver extra, always 20% or more, I get my delivery order and there is never the extra sauces that inlaid for. If they were complementary not a big deal. But when I pay over a dollar every time for extra sauces and I order from once a week, makes me really upset. Tonight I even asked the delivery driver if my extra sauce is in the box, he's response "Uh ya, it should be". Guess what! It wasn't. Not only has the extra sauce not in the box but the caesar salad that I ordered with just one dressing this time( learned my lesson??) was delivered with no dressing. Not any?!? Who delivers a salad with no dressing?? This has been happening for months, really wish someone would take a look at their quality control and making sure orders go out properly.

I first tried Sarpino's in Des Moines & fell in love with the Buffalo Chicken Pizza. So, I talked my hubby into trying it here in KC. The pizza was okay. We got pepperoni and cheesy bread. I am not a fan of their idea of cheesy bread. I am also not a fan of the sauce on their pizza. Hubby loved the pizza. I need him to try the Buffalo Chicken Pizza so he can be happy like me.

Ordering online late at night has been very useful as my schedule has been very erratic and hit and miss lately. The staff has been great and very friendly. I live in a gated community that doesn't have a way to let people come up without going down. They call every time to let me know they are here. Which is greatly appreciated and is certainly the reason for this high review. As to the quality of the food.l The pizza is usually too greasy for my taste. Its not bad by any means, but its not great either. Their specialty pizzas are pretty decent and its all better quality for the price than budget. The best food I've gotten there has been their calzones. They were pretty good, although still a bit too greasy for my taste.I get it, you're making a lot of things for a larger area so maybe its the location because in overland park the pizza was not nearly as greasy as it had been from the KC location. Either way the staff is friendly and they have won my approval for the so-so to decent quality of food.

Absolutely Rantastic. Order the Ranch pizza and add olives. The wings were to due for! This might have been the best pizza I've ever eaten!

I stopped in for a bite to eat right before the Halloween party at The Point Annex, and had the Mexicana personal 8" pizza with a Barq's root beer. It was a leetle pricey for me at ~$11, but ZOMG was it worth it! I was having a really bad Friday, and let me tell you -- if you're a fan of hot food, the MEXICANA with Jalapenos and the crushed red pepper will change your life! HOLY God it was hot - I was surprised I didn't have to get another drink! The endorphin rush I got from this pizza was out of this world - it was just what I needed. Much Thanks to A. for suggesting I try Sarpino's :D

Sarpino's! Their pizza is great. It has that extra grease to it that is just addicting sometimes. Their drivers are always professional and nice. My preference is for the Classic Italian minus mushrooms sub jalapeños. My taste buds prefer spicier dishes even though one time the spice made me remove the overtly spicy peppers. Good as leftovers too!

We order Sarpino's about once every two weeks as they are the only place that delivers to our address. Pretty good food, lot's of options, large delivery area. Not as fast as some, but worth the wait. The only complaint I have is that out of maybe 10 times they have ALWAYS forgotten the extra dressing that I order for my salad. Being that this makes for a pretty dry salad and the fact that they actually charge ~$0.60 for the extra dressing, this has me fairly frustrated.

Decided to try this new pizza place to feed some hungry family and we were NOT disappointed! It seems a bit pricey, but once you see how much you get, it is not bad. The xlarge fed 4 very hungry people. And it is delicious! So many topping options! I will be going back and soon. I think I saw an ad for free delivery too!

I was staying at a hotel down the street and was looking for some pizza to order for my Family. Called and the guy was VERY RUDE on the phone. He started yelling at me because I didn't know what part of town I was in even know I gave him the address. Needless to say I decided I did not want to give this place my money so I called PAPA JOHNS and the service was great so was the pizza!

~Once upon a time, I ordered a couple calzones from their website. They were delivered to my home in a reasonable amount of time and were very tasty. ~The End~

The food is good but the people are rude. The deliveries take forever. I was told 35-45 min and it took an hour and 15 for a small calzone. Was notified food had left store 30 minutes before it arrived and my food arrived, as expected, cold and soggy. When I called to check on food after 20 min after it left store employee was extremely rude.

We were staying down at the Westin Crown Center and needed delivery food and it was getting late. I chose Sarpino's because it was one of the few late night delivery places I could find online. (Side rant: Other cities have Eat24, Grubhub, Delivery.com , Foodler, etc., with dozens of late-night options. Get with it, Kansas City!) I ordered their white pizza and it wasn't anything like one you'd get in Philly so it wasn't authentic as I define it ;) but it was ok. Sarpino's appears to be an international chain founded in Canada so it doesn't surprise me that their food is... different. Some reviewers say it tastes like frozen pizza but I don't think so. It just doesn't taste like a mom and pop joint (primarily the crust) and it doesn't remind me of a typical national chain (what national chain offers seafood toppings?). Even with a 10% off coupon, Sarpino's was pricey. The good news is that it was still cheaper than room service and again, the food was ok. I've had a lot worse but at this price point ($12 for a personal size!) I've had better.

This place is the best not only for quality but they are all in good humor! I asked for a cat on my box and they delivered 110%. I will continue to order from them as long as I'm in KC! Thanks Staff!

I liked this place when it first opened, but I've had their pizza enough times now to offer a more educated opinion. First of all, I don't think any of the toppings are cooked in the store. Definitely can taste it. Second, horrible wait times for delivery, like 2 to 3 hours is not unusual. Third, when they're nice and busy, they sometimes refuse to honor coupons that THEY constantly send in the mail. Poorly run business, to say the least. And I don't have much to say about the sandwiches except they're worse than the pizza and very expensive for what you actually get.

Nestled in Westport in a little shopping strip is a hidden gem. Not that far from a major hotel, this restaurant opened in 2011, and has been going strong ever since. Local to the area, Sarpinos provides some killer munchies for the late night crowd. Pasta's, Sandwiches, Pizzas, Salads, etc... if you can't find it here, you more than likely can't find it anywhere else. If you are an Italian food fan, then check this place out, and it will squash your cravings in no time.

I ordered the Chicken Alfredo last night. Delivery was quick. I loved that there was no delivery charge or minimum. The food wasn't mind-blowing or anything but it was good hearty chicken Alfredo. Serving size was generous. Food was piping hot. Garlic bread was decent. I would definitely order from here again.

It always taste good, and as long as you plan ahead on ordering (as it can take a bit longer)...then there's not a problem! Every now and then, I've noticed that the dough in the calzone hasn't cooked all the way through...but not all the time.

I would give zero stars if I could. I as a customer feel completely disrespected. I was hung up on twice the last time I attempted to order. I will not be returning.

Carryout only took about 20 min during a busy night. The cashier was friendly and quick. The BBQ Chicken Bonanza "Gourmet Pizza" was incredible. All the veggies were chopped just the right size (certainly not too big). The chicken pieces were rather small but much better than nasty big chunks and at first I wasn't sure where the chicken was but the flavor of it was just excellent. There was decent number of artichokes on it too. I also had a cheese pizza, which reheated well although was good cold too. The sauce seemed more like a traditional sicilian (strong flavors) which I wouldn't think would go well with the crust but it really worked well and wow the cheese was delicious!

The online ordering was pretty cool, so it's too bad the end product isn't all that great. I thought the pizza was pretty plain and tasted pre-made and frozen. It wasn't bad, by any means, but I'd rather just go to the store and grab something of similar quality for a much cheaper price. I also sprung for an order of wings which, truth be told, had some awesome flavor going on. Unfortunately, the fat wasn't rendered out of them at all, so they were pretty goopy and unpleasant to eat, despite the tastiness. If you're looking for pizza, I'd head somewhere else. Minksy's, Spin, and just about any of the places downtown are all quite a lot better. Sarpino's misses the mark.

On the eve before adventuring to the great Omaha I aquired a Sarpino's coupon through the postal mailing of 'Merica. For the count of 10 dollars I could have my very own 10 inch pizza and a small Caesar salad. My pie arrived between 45 and 60 minutes of my order, which I placed online. The pie carrier called upon arriving and I was ready to chow down. The pizza was solid, it was worth the 10 bucks but, that was with a coupon. I think the retail value would have been a little high. Pepperoni, sausage and feta cheese. All good thing, the salad was pretty plane but I wasn't expecting much. I think Sarpino's is solid if you can get a coupon or a deal that will make it cheap. But if I'm going to spend more than 15 bucks on Italian or pizza I can think of some other places I would rather go and be shoving food in my face within the 45-60 minutes it took for me to get my food.

I ordered long before closing (40minutes) and was told they wouldn't take my order. I just worked (2) 20 hour days back to back with about 2.5 hours sleep in between. I haven't eaten in 9 hours and now I'm going to bed ravenously hungry. Thanks for the great customer disservice.

We ordered this to our hotel at the recommendation of the front desk. Pizza and bread sticks were quite tasty although it seemed like their delivery took awhile. Although the driver was realty honest and realized that he had forgotten the 2L before we had a chance to call and he came back and delivered the soda. Would definitely order again but pad the delivery time.

Another. " I wish I could give this place zero stars" review. Therefore I'll keep this short. Ordered online at 7:45 PM. Called the store at 8:30 to see if they were coming. Got some story about the system being down and to call back in 20 minutes. Stopped her from hanging up on me and after 10 minutes was told that food just left the store. So I made note of the time (8:37) and waited. And waited. And waited. About the time I had almost completed my order from Jimmy Johns for a crappy sandwich the pizza guy rolls up. It's 9:30 now. I take the damn food because I'm starving and what da ya know. It's cold, it's wrong and it's probably the worst pizza I've ever had. Do yourself a favor, if you want pizza call Pap Johns or Dominos. Forget this place.

Great service!! Places an order using grub hub online. They immediately called and let me know the wait time would be long due to weather, unlike Pizza Hut on rainbow. I kept my order and it came 1 1/2 hours later. Which was good for the crazy weather that is going on outside. The food arrived hot, unlike like Pizza Hut, and fresh! The delivery guy was courteous and friendly, unlike Pizza Hut (see a pattern?) I ordered with some friends we all loved our food. My favorite is the calzone. I usually create my own with cheese and Canadian bacon. You can't go wrong with any of the hot sandwiches. I also forgot to add my drink online and they were able to add it with no issues! (Unlike.....Pizza Hut on Rainbow) Can't go wrong with Sarpinos! I love the great service.

WHY WON'T YELP LET YOU GIVE ZERO STARS?! I ordered Toasted Ravioli and Lasagna from this place - nothing crazy, right? An hour and a half later I still had not received my order so I called them to cancel. I was put on hold for three minutes, before someone finally answered the phone so I could tell him to not bother showing up. Never again. Don't make the mistake of ordering here.

Fantastic pizza! We are from out of town & the person who took our delivery order was very helpful. She even found a coupon for us which saved us $15! The delivery came before the quoted price & everything was wonderful.

Great food. Great selection and I believe l for the quality of the product the price is right. Hands down, one of the best pizza place in KC. this place has made me a snob to Papa Johns, Pizza Hut and Dominos! Love the delivery no minimum order. So if you feel like a piece of cheesecake at 1am you can call and they deliver. They deliver all over KC metro area.

I may or may not be slightly addicted to pizza. Thank goodness for Sarpino's! Before discovering this gem, I typically would order from Pizza Hut, which although is actually closer to me than Sarpino's, the Hut always takes longer. (They've never quoted me for less than a 90 minute wait.) My average wait time is about 35-45 minutes. There was a time once where it was over an hour and 15 minutes, but that was a one-time occurence. And for what it's worth, I also ordered once on a Friday night, fully expecting to wait over an hour because Friday nights seem like prime pizza time. It was LESS THAN 20 MINUTES from the time I placed my order to the time the pizza was in my hands. Crazy! The service is consistently good. And by that I mean, if we ever have a problem, they are really helpful and willing to fix it. A while ago, we got a couple of lukewarm pizzas in a row. We mentioned it to the, they were apologetic, and it's never been a problem since. (And, if you're curious. This consistent service is what bumped this review from a 4 star to a 5 star. Online ordering is great, and you save 10% when you order online. Plus now they have a loyalty points system, so that's fun. I love that I can get text or email updates of where in the process they are. When you have have dogs that like to bark at the door, knowing once the Pizza is out for delivery helps me get them out of the way and distracted so they don't freak out when it gets to me. And last but not least - taste. SO GOOD. I was surprised to see other Yelpers calling this pizza greasy. Yes, by nature, pizza is greasy. But compared to stuff like Pizza Hut or Dominos, it's not that bad! I typically blot my pizza with a paper towel (yes, I'm THAT person) but with Sarpinos, I don't feel the need. Also, this pizza is perfect for drunk muncies.

I'm glad that Sarpino's can promise and deliver their customers quality food with quick service. HOWEVER, one of their drivers nearly caused a car accident while speeding and running through a stop sign on 43rd street behind their Westport location. Normally I would disregard this kind of behavior, but this driver was clearly speeding and driving recklessly through an already dangerous intersection. Not to mention that they were inches from my car before I stopped--they did not stop, driver simply kept speeding away. I'm sure Valentines day is a busy holiday for the pizza joint but getting someone their $25 pizza order in time is NOT worth me losing my life. Sarpino's can expect my call after the holiday is over.
